If you have been keeping up with my blogs, you may know that I have been feeling stuck. My stomach is still causing me trouble, but finally those womanly hormones are beginning to calm. So, as much as I am feeling better and ready to jump forward and start anew with many things in life, my body is still slowing me down. So, I am reminded that space must be created to allow for new growth. Sometimes death must occur to allow for this to happen. For example, petals fall off of flowers when their life span is over, or one relationship may end in order to have a new one.
As I mentioned in my last article, de-cluttering and getting rid of things and relationships that are no longer useful or that no longer serve us is also a way of feeling rejuvenated. The same is true for cleansing or detoxing our bodies.
Some people do vegetable and/or juice cleanses. Recently I have started to use Calcium Bentonite liquid clay. Also called montmorillonite, it has been used for centuries as a healing agent for a plethora of ailments. In the bowel, it pulls out impurities and binds to them, aiding the body to eliminate toxins as it passes through the intestine undigested. It also helps cleanse the colon to rid it of old fecal matter.
People also use the clay externally in cosmetics, and to help soothe and heal skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne.
In this acute setting I am taking 2oz of liquid clay three times a day. It also comes in powder form that you can mix yourself. Be sure and drink plenty of water to help the process. Some people take a couple ounces a day or just as needed to help relieve bloating.
So, when it comes to creating space, what comes to mind? Where else in your life or body do you need to detox? Recognize that some things are better left to rest, whether it be the relationship that isn’t working, or that outfit you have hung on to for years knowing it will come back into style again.
So ask yourself. What do you need to revitalize, and what things in your life need to be forgotten that may prevent you from growing and feeling happy and healthy?
I love to hear your comments and suggestions.
