It has been a trying couple of years for almost every person I know. Many astrologers attribute this to Saturn teaching each of us a major life lesson. Perhaps it was in your house of career or committed relationships. Only you know. As we move into 2015, the planetary changes are bringing relief, hope, and inspiration.
We have also passed the day of the Winter Solstice, where I was reminded of how many plants and animals have a dormant period. Plants drop their seeds, where its energy and nutrients are kept close until the right conditions emerge for growth. A seed needs space in the earth to expand its roots. It needs water, warmth, and nutrients to be healthy, and sunlight to grow.
A seed in nature has many appearances, but it is not limited to a small reproductive entity for plants and animals. Metaphorically speaking it can be an idea, intention, a desire. Allow your body to bring energy to your core. In this moment what “seed or seeds” come to mind for you?
Do you want a committed relationship? Do you have a wonderful business idea or career change that you secretly desire but are afraid to try? Do you want to create or expand your family, or maybe buy a home? Do you want to improve your health?
Desires and goals ARE seeds. What is needed for them to come to fruition?
It all begins in your own personal garden. Create a space to plant the seed. Rid your mind and body of negative thoughts and feelings, thus creating space for positive energy, warmth, and light. Nurture yourself with chemical free water and healthy foods that will give you energy to reach your goals. Know that goals and desires take time to come to fruition. Sometimes it takes months or years to see intentions come to light so don’t get discouraged.
This time of year many resolutions are made quickly forgotten. Why is this so? If you make a resolution, is it because it comes from one of your core desires or is it something you just think you should be doing? Why do so many people not see the resolution come to be? It may simply be that negative thoughts and fears lead us astray. The term “resolution” has many meanings, but when we use the word at this time of year it usually means making a commitment or promise to do an act of self-improvement. But what if we change this to the ability to finally see our intentions, goals, and desires clearly and with a lot of detail?
A resolution is also a declaration with the sense of action behind it, not just an idea with a groundless fantasy. Visualize your “seed or seeds.” Are they centered on home, career, family, romantic relationships? Recall that it is a process for a seed to grow into a plant. This requires nurturing and the right environment to flourish. So, if you find that you are drifting away from your resolution, look at how you are nurturing its growth. Are you in the right mindset and environment for optimal success? Remember that it is not only what we put into it, but what is at its core. You are the core. Don’t beat yourself up with negative thoughts and feelings. Give yourself time, love, and space to really flourish this year and every year thereafter.
Now go set your intention to do or achieve what you really want. I support you and would love to hear what your goals are for this year. Perhaps I can help guide you along the way.
Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
