Well, I hope everyone out there had an amazing day and a delicious meal, but now Turkey day is over so what’s next? It is now officially the holiday season. The Christmas songs have taken over the radio, decorations are up and holiday parties are non-stop. It is no surprise to us that with holiday parties and holiday cheer upon us, there are many opportunities for calorie bombs and diet sabotages. And because of the craziness (in a good way of course) of the holiday month we seem to be able to use the month of December to indulge and then somehow, “erase it” and start fresh on January 1st when we set our resolutions for the new year.
But, this year I want to challenge all of the #happyslimhealthy readers out there to start their resolutions now. Why not set a goal to make this the healthiest December you have ever had? Why not take steps now to maybe reach mini goals pre 2014 and then build up to bigger and better goals in the new year? Take some time to think about this and become the best version of you before this amazing year is over.
Because it is important to practice what you preach and it is even more important to say goals out loud for others to hear and to hold you accountable, I want to share with you my own goal for lets say end of 2013 and into early-ish 2014. I, Jenna Stock, want to run a half marathon. Ok, there you have it, I said it out loud and then typed it for all of you to read, so now it’s real and definitely happening. I have never been a real, “runner,” and the idea of 13 miles scares me to death, but I want to follow through with this and I want to achieve this goal, sooner rather than later. So my training starts now.
Now, what will your goals be to finish off 2013? Share them in the comments section below and then we can all hold each other accountable.
Make these goals happen and have a #happyslimhealthy December, filled with lots of love, balance and happiness!!!
