Everyone is a yogi. Everyone has it in them to practice yoga. It drives me crazy when I hear people saying they aren't flexible enough, strong enough, or don't have the time. Yoga is not about looking good or being something you're not, it is about embracing the journey you are on, accepting exactly where you are, and creating a path that is fun and exciting.
There are no limitations, only the ones you place on yourself. Consider for a moment that there is nothing "better". Consider that you are perfect, whole, and complete. In this moment, what did you think? How do you feel? Is there some hidden passion within that is hoping to break through?
Yoga is not about judgments or opinions (yours or others); it is an opportunity for exploration and complete freedom! Can you imagine being free to be 100% who you are right here and right now? Well stop imagining and take action! Whether that means starting a yoga practice, fixing the broken whatever you've been putting off, or calling that certain someone who's been on your mind, there's only one time to do it – now!
Challenge:
Set a goal for the month of June, and actually do it! It can be anything…
- A home yoga practice everyday.
- Go to a yoga class twice a week.
- Cook at least 5 meals a week.
- Call one friend a week who you haven't spoken with in a while.
- Make up your own!
The challenge is that whatever you set out to achieve you really commit. It doesn't matter if you fail (remember no judgments or opinions), just that you truly give it your best effort.
Bonus: Keep a journal and notice the shifts and changes throughout the month!
