It’s April and time to break through into spring! Whether you have struggled through a harsh winter, or winter months might not have been as devastating, it is a beautiful time of year to let go and transform.
Picture all the little seeds just under the earth’s surface, they have been waiting for months to sprout and grow. We are also ready! Hopefully throughout the winter you have had some time to focus inward, take care of yourself, and cultivate internal love and energy. Now it’s time to share it with your communities and the world!
Walk on the sunny side of the street.
Close your eyes and enjoy the sun’s warmth on your skin.
Twirl.
Drink lots of water.
Take a walk, just because...

April Challenge:
This month’s challenge is about finding balance, rooting down, and growing upward in Vrksasana, tree pose.
To practice Vrksasana begin in Tadasana, mountain pose. Stand with the big toes touching the heels slightly apart, or with the feet slightly apart. Root down through all four corners of the feet, balancing the weight evenly. Lift up through the arches of the feet, gently contract the muscles in the thighs and feel the kneecaps rise. Engage the navel, pulling it up and in towards the spine. Elongate the spine, long and strong. The shoulder blades move down the back away from the ears, and the neck grows long. Bring your hands to a prayer pose at your heart center.
Find a point of focus with your eyes; this is called Drishti in Sanskrit. Shift the weight into the left leg, strengthening that leg by lifting the arch of the foot. Bend the right knee, turn it out to the side and place the sole of the right foot on the calf muscle or on the inner thigh muscle, not on the knee. Take 5 deep breaths. Release the foot and return to Tadasana. Repeat on the left side.
